AI Smart Help

Ask in plain English what you want to do and exceed points you at the real command — grounded in the actual command list, so it never invents one.

What it does

exceed has a lot of commands across 20+ categories, and remembering the exact name is a pain. Smart Help fixes that: describe what you're trying to do in plain English and the AI finds the matching command for you, with real usage and an example.

,findcommand how do I set up reaction roles?

exceed replies with the best-matching command(s), a one-line note on why each fits, and the actual usage so you can run it straight away.

Aliases: ,howdo, ,smarthelp.

Grounded, never invented

This is the key difference from a generic AI chatbot: Smart Help can only return commands that actually exist in exceed. The AI is handed the bot's real command catalog (names, categories, descriptions, usage) and told to pick from that list — and exceed validates that every command it returns is real before showing it to you. If nothing fits, it says so and points you at ,help rather than making something up.

Examples

You askYou get pointed to
,findcommand how do I set up reaction roles?the self-roles / reaction-role command
,howdo welcome new membersthe welcome configuration command
,findcommand catch up on this channel, summarize / ,recap
,smarthelp punish someone for spamthe relevant moderation command

Each result shows the command name and its real usage with the , prefix, so you can copy and run it immediately. Want full details on any of them? ,help <command> shows the complete usage.

How to enable it

Smart Help is enabled per server. When it's off, ,findcommand replies that it's disabled. An admin can turn it on from the server's settings.

Anyone can use it once enabled — it needs no special permissions, since it only helps people find commands.

Usage limits

Each lookup makes one small Gemini call against your server's shared monthly AI allowance, with a short per-user cooldown (a few seconds) to prevent spam. The prompt is tiny and the model used is the cheap, fast tier, so the cost is minimal. If the server has reached its monthly cap, Smart Help pauses until the budget resets — see Usage & Limits.
