Premium & Licensing
How premium access works in exceed — licensed servers, activating a license key, expiry, and feature add-ons.
How premium works
exceed has a licensed tier on top of the core feature set. A server becomes premium when it has an active license attached to it. Licensing is per-server: activating a license on one server has no effect on any other.
The core moderation, engagement, and utility features are available to every server. A license unlocks the premium experience and any add-on capabilities tied to that key.
Activating a license
A license is a key you redeem in your server. With the key in hand, an admin runs:
,auth <key>
That activates the server. Once a license is bound to a server, it belongs to that server — the same key can't be used elsewhere while it's active.
Note: Activating a license requires the Administrator permission. Only an admin can bind or change a server's license.
A few rules keep things sane:
- A key that has been revoked can't be activated.
- A key that has expired can't be activated.
- A key already in use in another server can't be reused until it's freed.
- A server can hold one active license at a time — you can't stack a second key on top of an already-licensed server.
Expiry
Some licenses last forever; others run for a fixed duration. A timed license stays active until it expires, after which the server drops back to the core tier. A license with no duration simply stays active. You can always activate a fresh key later to renew or extend access.
Feature add-ons
Beyond plain premium, a license can carry feature add-ons — capabilities enabled specifically for that key. When a license includes an add-on, the matching pages and tools appear for that server; without it, they stay hidden. This lets access be tailored per-server rather than all-or-nothing.
Checking your status
After running ,auth, the bot confirms the server has been activated. From then on, premium features and any add-ons on your license are available, and you configure them on the dashboard like any other feature.
Tip: Premium unlocks access. You still enable and tune each feature yourself — see Enabling Features for how per-server toggles work.
