Rank Cards
Customise the image card members see when they run the rank command.
What it does
Rank cards are the image shown when a member runs ,rank. Instead of a plain embed, exceed renders a canvas card with the member's avatar, level, rank position, and an XP progress bar — a clean, branded way to show off progress. The same card studio also drives your welcome card.
Rank cards build on Leveling, so make sure leveling is enabled first.
How to set it up
Open the Cards dashboard page (the card studio). From there you can design the rank card and preview it live. There are two modes:
- Simple — pick colours and a background style for a ready-made layout.
- Advanced editor — full control over the layout, with positioned text slots for username, level, rank, XP, and more.
If the card render fails or rank cards are disabled, ,rank falls back to a standard embed automatically, so members always get a response.
What the card shows
- Avatar and username (or display name)
- Level and rank position (for example,
#4) - XP into the current level and XP needed for the next
- A progress bar
- In the advanced layout: server name and member count are also available as variables
Member command
,rank [member]— show your card, or another member's. Alias:,xp.
Note: Members who have not earned any XP yet will be told they have no XP rather than shown an empty card.
